Zen Studio Software Guide

Zen Studio is the configuration software for Cronus Zen. It provides device management, GPC script development, mouse and keyboard configuration, and input remapping plugins.

Download Zen Studio

Download the latest version includes the firmware update tool and Zen Link configurator. Windows only. You can also update firmware through the browser-based Web Update Tool in Chrome or Edge.

Panels

Zen Studio has five main panels accessible through the navigation tabs at the top.

Tools Menu

Device MonitorReal-time input viewer for button states, stick positions, triggers, gyro, and touchpad. Requires PROG USB.
Zen Studio UpdateCheck for and install the latest Zen Studio version. Requires internet.
Zen Operational ModeSwitch between Normal, Tournament, and Wheel modes.

Operational Modes

NormalFull functionality, including scripts, GamePacks, mouse and keyboard, and all features enabled
TournamentScripts and GamePacks disabled. Controller passthrough and basic remapping only. Used for competitive play.
Wheel ModeEnables supported Logitech and Fanatec racing wheel functionality

Plugins

Status Bar

The status bar is located at the bottom of the interface and is split into three sections:

  • Left - Device connection status and firmware version
  • Middle - Active operational mode, which can be clicked to change
  • Right - Compiler info, script status, current line/column, and insert/overtype mode

Linux users

Zen Studio requires Windows. You can run it in a VirtualBox VM with USB passthrough if needed.
